I am not opining on if this is warrant holders or perspective new buyers selling in advance. But they can also short in advance (no comment on legality). So no real ability to prove it until the deal is done.
As of today, I would guess it is just as possibly he "TLD soon" story playing old causing short term traders to flee. And that is an absolute fact (if you read carefully).
