INCLINE VILLAGE, NV / ACCESSWIRE / April 29, 2021 / American Battery Metals Corporation (OTCQB:ABML) (the "Company"), an American-owned lithium-ion battery recycling technology and advanced extraction company with extensive mineral resources in Nevada, which is in the process of changing its name to American Battery Technology Company (ABTC), submitted three new permit applications to the City of Fernley and the Nevada Division of Environmental protection to continue progress in permitting and constructing its lithium battery recycling pilot plant in Fernley, Nevada.
"This past Monday, April 26, our design team, led by Miles Construction, submitted a mass grading permit application to the City of Fernley," stated Chuck Leber, ABTC's Lead Onsite Project Manager. "We also submitted a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and Surface Area Disturbances permit application to Nevada Division of Environmental Protection to continue the permitting process for our lithium battery recycling pilot plant."
A Surface Area Disturbances (SAD) permit is the precursor to getting a mass grading permit approved by City of Fernley. It ensures dust from the lithium battery pilot plant construction process will be controlled so as to not adversely impact local air quality.
A mass grading permit will enable the Miles Construction team to prepare ABTC's 12.44- acre pilot plant site in Fernley, Nevada for underground construction work and building foundations.
The Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is a living document that will be kept on the pilot plant site in Fernley, Nevada to ensure the facility does not pollute stormwater.
