Of course there's the usual privacy issues.

The work that my company does requires that our employees be fingerprinted every 2 years. Our prints are run through criminal databases to make sure there isn't a match. I've been assured that our prints aren't stored as a result of this process but I have my doubts. No one has accused me of the Lindbergh kidnapping so I got that going for me.

You make a good point...Do you see any downside to palm recognition for payment?
