This! A couple of months ago I stopped at a supermarket to pick up a few things on my way home from the gym...perhaps half a dozen items. I got to the self-checkout machine and reached for my wallet...NOPE. I was confident that I had left the wallet at home (which turned out to the be the case) but still. The store doesn't take Google Pay so using my phone to pay was a no-go.
I did the "walk of shame" and put every item back on the shelf from whence they came and walked out of the store empty handed.
24 hours later I made a return trip to the store and bought the same exact items. As I headed for the exit I ran into a friend who works part time in the store and I told him the story. "God bless you." he said, "most people would have just left the cart and walked away from it leaving things to melt/go bad."
I can't imagine doing that.
Having palm checkout would have been handy in that instance.
