A little primer for you:
The carriers just spent $81B on C-Band spectrum. This allows them to grow their 5G reach. Since money doesn’t grow on trees, their infrastructure spend has to be put on hold due to the HUGE amount they spent on acquiring this spectrum. 2021 will see very few new towers going up because of this record-setting spend.
2022 will see the infrastructure push to build out the C-Band and CBRS spectrum that has been purchased. Additionally, a significant number of tower leases established in the 90’s will also come to an end giving the carriers some additional lee-way to move to new towers.
So, it sounds to me that 2022 is right on.
