A multitude of different factors. First time audits which can take the longest include those which have massive amounts of inventory and transactions. The auditors need to be able to track everything and create a benchmark.

For a biopharm company that is more associated with R&D and little in the way of transactions and inventory the audit will be much quicker IMO

The easier for auditors to verify numbers the faster it goes.
