I learned from you and other docs just how difficult and burdensome these PA’s are for the doctors. Everything about them lead to restricted access to patients, tons of extra work for the doctors, docs and patients giving up and settling on inferior or ineffective treatments, switching to generics, unfairness to the branded medication( in many cases) and infringement. I hope these lawsuits bring about much needed change in PA policies and procedures. If insurance companies want certain peramiters to be met then state them clearly, make them simple, and make it easier for doctors to comply or just give the doctor the ultimate say in patient care as long as it’s not infringing.
