think the MM was baiting the shorts a bit with the incremental creep upward and pulling in some fomo retail (or those that sold that want back in), only to drop the price on Mon? (still filling the gap?).

The news probably nixed that scenario, but at this point there is enough high blood pressure and of the wall scenarios to go around, that almost anything is still 'in play' with this situation.
