Something I just learned.

Doctor writes you a 12-month script for the 1st time.

You fill the 1st 3-month script = NRx

Your 2nd, 3rd & 4th 3-month script = Renewals


I knew the above but didn't know the below:

You go back to a doctor to get *another* 12- month script.

You fill the 1st 3-month script of that script = NRx

So eventhough you already had a 12-month script, the 1st one of this one will be classified as NRx, not a refill.
