You will find many examples of Number 2 - Number 3 - in top management moving on to be Top CEO's in other Bio Companies.

One example that I know of is Kåre Schultz now CEO at Teva. He were number 2 at NOVO and then hired for another Bio company, Lundbeck, before Teva.

Amarin is not in the league of the big BP company's - so to me Karim Mikhail has a rather impressive CV - and were probably already being informed about possible CEO position later' when he joined Amarin.
