U.S. equity futures
U.S. equity futures are mixed with modest moves, as lofty valuations and a bounce higher in Treasury rates has prompted some caution. The S&P 500 rose 0.4% yesterday, powered by major tech stocks, to close at a new all-time high of 4,097.17. Inflation remains an underlying concern despite assurances from Fed Chair Powell that the FOMC can keep inflation under control. The NASDAQ mini is down -0.4%, the S&P 500 mini is flat and the Dow mini has edged up 0.2% in pre-market trading. In the news, Levi Strauss is nearly 5% higher in pre-market dealings after the firm reported better than expected results.
