Thank you. I appreciate the response. What I find to be a bit dis-
heartening is that LarryBirdLegend has not posted for some time. I
would like to hear from him; good, bad, or indifferent. I recently
was able to get a man who is only in his 40's ask his doctor for
Vascepa...His doctor was familiar with it and wrote the prescription
without any problem and his insurance made his monthly out of pocket
cost only $40. (He may try for a 3 month scrip and use the coupon
in the future.) Sadly, a mutual friend who is in his 70's and has
been stented could not get his "old" cardiologist to prescribe it.
We are trying to get him to find a doctor who will. What a strange
system we have where the biggest killer on the planet has a proven
drug to reduce risk and there is so much resistance to it.
Maddening, to say the least.
