"Disdain" is the one word I have that sums up my view of John Thero.
Thero should sell the company to BP if for no other reason than to insure
it is optimally promoted and distributed to those CVD patients who would
benefit the most. GIA in the US and in Europe will not optimize usage of
Vascepa. Thero as a CEO is like Mr. Magoo, he does not see or behave in
a way that shows he is in touch with the reality of the situation. The
man is tone deaf and likely believes his own BS. On many conference
calls he stated that Vascepa would be used by tens of millions of
patients. (Well, that will never happen unless their is a BP BO.)
Today an analyst stated that by 2029 AMRN would have $1 billion in
sales from Europe...That would be what, around 500,000 patients
on the drug? Even if there were no interest from BP for a BO, would
it not make sense to hire an investment bank to generate some
interest?
