Your statistics are misleading because there are 280m ICE vehilces that are much older, on average than EVs.
Other reasons to buy older ICE, although you have to maintain them more, is less dependent on computers and sensors that can cause your vehilce to suddenly accelerate without putting your foot on the accelerator...like whats going on with Teslas.
