Anavex Life Sciences Corp (AVXL)

Hi everyone, I don’t post often but I wanted to respond. Have been in in Avxl since 2014 with around 20k shares. Have seen many ups and downs with the share price. Have always held through the good and bad times. I primarily invest in biotech. I agree with investor2014’s sentiment. It is very risky business. I invested in a company named Idera back then as well at the recommendation of a doctor. CEO had a good reputation , science seemed very legit. They had multiple shots on goal with not only their drugs but with the platform behind it. Long story short, all of that turned into them being a 1 horse stable. And recently , that drug failed. I stand to lose a lot of money. So nothing is guaranteed for sure. And we at IDRA were all blindsided by that failure as well. No one saw it coming. Phase 2 was very hopeful with decent data on a treatment population with no options (metastatic melanoma , PD resistant).
I was reading yesterday’s comments on the proposal. I am excited and nervous about the future of AVXL. but I wanted to ask the longs here. What drives your confidence in absolute success of Avxl? I used to feel that way more. With my recent experience with IDRA, I’m more cautious now. Thanks for any feedback. And no, I am not a short or someone trying to spread fear and doubt.
