Humana denied coverage for V to me. My doctor gave them a Pre Authorization; still they denied coverage because 1) I don't have Tg>500 or 2) I don't have an established CV disease. What the heck? MY LDL is way higher that 200 and my Tg is >200 that I have been taking V for the last 7 or 8 yrs. My dad died of stroke at the age of 61. I am 62. What should I do? I called back my doctor that he said he will appeal again. I called Humana on the Verbal Request for Expedited Appeal and left a message. Humana is colluding with Hickma that they removed V from their formulary starting this year. They are notorious. How to fight with Humana?
