Suez Canal blocked by 400 meter long vessel that ran aground due to wind and poor visibility. Rather than halting 12% of world trade and costing millions in insurance, how about installing smart turtles on the banks of all important canals worldwide. Vessels can install simple sensors to keep them in safe water. Maybe install on ports to help guide vessels. Effective low-cost solution to a costly problem.
