More than 49% of our country's working population are employed by small businesses, defined by the SBA as any business with less than 500 employees. That includes companies like $TPTW who will pay the 33% increase in taxes.

Only 22 million small business owners file as individuals. Even they will be affected by higher taxes if their combined household income is more than $400k. That will have an impact on their ability to expand their business and pay employees.

The rest of the working population are employed by mid to large businesses, who, also, will have to make up income loss from a 33% increase in taxes. That will mostly happen through higher prices and/or job cuts. How many of them will choose, instead, to move out of the country, as they did before when taxes were raised? Any way you cut it, many of the population will be impacted by job loss and all by inflation.

In the last administration, the economy was booming right up until the pandemic hit. If not for all the closures of many businesses due to the pandemic, we would still have a great economy. The current administration has vowed to reverse all of that administration's tax policies. When it doesn't work, we all know who they will blame.
