I have been thinking and pondering for quite a while now regarding the genius of not only Dr. Linda Liau, but also, perhaps just as importantly, Linda Powers. Fellow longs, please forgive my thought process until I arrive my conclusion, but there are several things that have led me to believe that Ms. Powers and company have taken many steps along the way to purposely fly under the radar or appear inexperienced to the business community (investors and potential suitors included).
The biggest and perhaps most extreme example may be the Phase 5 report that came out of nowhere bashing the company so many years ago that it seemingly could have been an undefended "death nell" to the company. I would speculate that perhaps (and I know this is a stretch) the anonymous report itself could have been the product of Ms. Powers or someone in the company. When I think about it, what better way would there be to take some of the limelight off a company that perhaps just realized that they need more time to prove that the DCVAX concept worked (because of initial pseudoprogression) and that being open to the inevitable public bashing that would ensue would take them off of Big Pharma's radar (which could have easily taken out NWBO), before patents could be granted, processes could be proven, and the trial could be finished. Ms. Power's probably always new that being able to control the perception of the company by outsiders would be the key to succeeding in a world filled with larger companies wanting to maintain the status quo.
In so many other ways that I could site- the Switzerland approval debacle (no one could tell me that lawyers like Ms. Powers and Mr. Goldman wouldn't know the process it would take to bring a drug to market in a developed country), the constant and consistent blaming of the shorts (both real and naked) and market manipulators for the company's share price, and the rich history of less than stellar communications the company provides that show that Ms. Power's ultimate goal was and still is to stay low until the dust settles and she can proceed with her genius master plan. Many have cited on this board that NWBO, often in the same breath, provides absolutely stellar news with a sentence like "in the coming months". Why else would that statement follow another designed to be so positive?
People on this board who typically provide a necessary but contrary view that the company is poised for success can use much of what Linda Powers has done to fuel their arguments (and Linda has provided them with some valid points), but I believe that much of what has been done and that has gone on long undefended was all part of Linda's genius master plan.
Also, I am of the belief that Ms. Powers probably knew Mr. Black for a long time before he was placed on the board. Many of the above tactics may have come from him as well??
