Not Irish. But ran an Irish Bar for several years. Got a taste for soda bread, Irish Stew, and Jameson Whisky.
Back then St Paddy's Day was one-day, and we ran the place from 6AM (before the Parade) to 3AM the 18th.
People had to walk out the back door and come in the front door to try to get a drink.

Always had a separate crew to come in to clean up because no one could move when we closed the doors.
Put up a couple bottles of 1780 Jameson on the Bar and let them pour freely--- the crew earned every bit of it.
Acquired at taste for that as well.

Back when America had a sense of humor I would tell the owner that an Irish Man can only do two things right: Have daughters and make whisky.

Now, Just biding my time and waiting for the 19th.
Why, why that's tomorrow.
