Hi JL ...glad U found your way ( with your MIT and car background ) to QS .
The following kind of encapsulates my view

Electric vehicle battery start-up QuantumScape can get its lithium metal solid-state batteries to 80% full in 15 minutes without compromising battery life or safety.

That's big. If QuantumScape's (ticker: QS) technology scales up, it means a typical EV with some charge left -- and with 200 or 300 miles of designed per charge range -- could pick up about 200 miles of driving range in under 15 minutes. That should be fast enough to alleviate much of the range anxiety consumers sometimes feel when thinking about purchasing a battery powered car.

My wife is in the process of buying a Tesla and "range anxiety and time to charge 80% full " are major considerations ...for anyone buying an EV .
QS's solid state batteries should solve this issue ...faster charge time , safer and cheaper than any EV battery out there....and makes EV's charge time close to the time you now spend filling your tank at the gas station.

But its years before they will be selling these in any volume so its difficult to decide what price to pay for the stock now.
I simply buy it now when its trashed and everyones lost interest ( as evidenced by how few post here about the Co now ).
I think the guys running this Co are very smart , have JB Straubel ( co founder of Tesla ) on the board , are well financed and will execute on their plan ...probably ahead of schedule.
I think the lock up on some shares expires around May ..so expect some volatility then .
QS is a long term hold for me

Shorter term I'm more interested in "vac -cation plays "......ie what folks do once they are vaccinated and feel they can take a vacation to celebrate . You enjoyed gambling I recall and spent time in Las Vegas .
Are you fully vaccinated now and would you feel OK staying at Caesars ?
I have a small position in Caesars and other "reopening " plays as more get vaccinated and the Covid checks roll out ...especially for retired folks . Caesars etc in Vegas seemed an obvious Covid vaccination / Covid $ vacation destination .....would be interested in your thoughts if you cared to share.
