"There is no evidence that I am aware of that temporary numbness and tingling from Brilacidin is a result of nerve damage."

As I'm sure you know, absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence.

Until the mechanism behind the rather startling incidence of "numbness and tingling" (aka peripheral neuropathy, which may or may not be serious, may or may not be temporary or more durable) with brilacidin is known it would be foolish to discount some dangerous iatrogenicity.

Not many people have ever been treated with brilacidin but it has shown significant toxicity in every controlled study it's been used in, including quite a few Serious Adverse Events.

I don't think it's right to brush that under the carpet.

In particular I love the way that when the entirely false, misleading and frankly dangerous claim that, and I quote:

"[brilacidin] has been in a number of trials and it has shown 0 side effects for over 400 human patients in those trials to date"

is made, there's nothing but crickets from the commentators who claim some knowledge in this field.

Mention the reality that brilacidin is quite a dirty drug with a narrow therapeutic index in those studies that have been performed and there's a pile on.

Which is interesting and worth remembering when we arrive at the post mortem in due course.
