HD - do you have the TG reduction numbers, V vs L? I can't look it up now but if I remember correctly, it's something like 33% vs 40%?

If so, how is this even debatable, when the 33% one (V) also reduces CVD and the 40% one (L) increases LDL and interferes with EPA's benefit (Viet Le's embargoed presentation).

If we just look at one thing only, TG, then yes Lovaza wins out. But nothing is ever that simple, we shouldn't ignore everything else.

If the TG reduction was not even close, say 15% vs 60%, then I'd be with you all day. But 33% vs 40% or even 50% plus all other things, IMO its not even a close call.

Also need to factor the real world difficulty in blood testing and switching out medicine (L -> V). Doesn't happen easily / realistically.
