Monthly crazy conspiracy theory:

The entire gV saga was orchestrated by BP (Pfizer) to depress Amarin to sell to BP for dirt cheap.

It is not a monthly, it exists constantly ... but the problem with this theory:

a.) the actual pps does not effect the value of Vascepa
b.) The BoD (and is not JT as assumed by a lot of posters) will not accept any offer below a real* value (* Please note: it is not from a thin air but based on realistic business plan)
c.) BP does not have to get the consent of the BoD, it could make a public offer anytime ... but I am not aware of any (meanwhile the pps was below $4/5).
d.) BP could loose more (on long term, in case of a BO) with bashing Vascepa than gain by the "depressed" BO value, since much harder too build up something than destroy.
