Global shipping disrupted by Covid

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/06/business/global-shipping.html

When the SARS outbreak occurred, the literal slow boat from China was allowed to dock after a trans-Pacific crossing, because even if someone onboard had the disease, it would have been over and done with long before they reached port. Covid-19 seems to have a longer incubation time, which stretches out the time period needed for it to either infect everyone on board or die out on its own accord, IMHO.

I’ve read that many crew members have been stranded /stuck in ships for months, going on a year, because Covid restrictions won’t let them travel home.
