What a great post 12.....The Ferengi...

The Ferengi are a fictional extraterrestrial species in the American science fiction franchise Star Trek

Note the word fictional..

I'm sure you understand my meaning......I truly doubt any civilization that holds money in such great esteem and doesn't grow its society makes it to the advanced stage....

Can we make it to being an advanced civilization? Not on the path we are following.....

How many times have I heard "I will not pay more for my chicken wings" or "If Americans do it now it would be too expensive" all putting objects in higher regard to the human beings...And if someone has to stay in poverty to get my object cheaply that's ok with me and justify in by saying I am helping them.... ;)

They even go so far as to support those that bring them the finest trinkets at the cheapest price....Like praying to the biblical Golden Calf in Christian religion...

This is not lost on the human beings...it creates "feelings"

Sooner or later those feelings become overwhelming..... Someone taps into those feelings

We are herd animals or at least group animals..... Therefore we must be lead......Which is what is failing us and always does as the leaders lose touch with the masses because they have been separated from them......They lose sight of dignity and society as a whole. They only look at their own place in society and judge the whole by what they enjoy....

That is where planet earth finds itself today...The Ferengi didn't make it, their society needed to be broken down and started anew...Painful though it may be, sad as it is...

By definition Civilization starts with civility and that is lost on a society the puts Monetary Interest above all else...
