If anything close to that happens, would it be possible for the stock exchanges to move out of the country? It would be a market killer for sure. HFT would be gone, which actually wouldn't brother me too much.

At IB I have the option to convert my money into any currency I want and trade it that currency, so there are options. Just move the NYSE to Toronto.
