Very good post Kettleman. What does Westport have that CMI may want? We know the obvious, but what would some other things be? I believe the patents are very important, but this 2.0 direct injection engine may be what CMI would want due to its multiple fuel capabilities.
I believe CMI already has a team on this process, maybe even might of made an offer. Remember this is all very hush , hush in the business world. What would be good for shareholders if another company was interested as well. Price goes higher if you have a bidding war. Keep in mind Westport is the leader in this space.
One thing might be a tip off is number of shares held by top management of Westport.
