It would be hard for the Board to resist an apparent overpay buyout offer. That would be the smart play by a big company right now.

boi, I think a big reason that Missling is being coy and not PRing at every opportunity is fear of a hostile takeover. Unlike most CEOs he definitely does not pump the stock at every little opportunity.

I think that is the big reason we have not got an update past 148 weeks on the Alzheimer Phase-2 trial - is that fear. It has been over 5 years now and if the Phase-2 Alzheimer OLE results continued to be after 5 years as good as that last report, it would likely invite a hostile takeover attempt in spite of the poison pill that Anavex has in place.

This is likely why he has expressed that he is hesitant to give updates during the Alzheimer Phase -2b/3 trial starting soon.

I hope Anavex remains independent for the huge revenues and profits once all these CNS indications are FDA approved and in the market, Anavex will own the huge CNS market, and more besides CNS diseases and conditions.

I will vote 'no' if a vote comes up on an offer regardless of the size, because it will not, and can not match the future profits on all the indications in the large and growing CNS disease and drug portfolio. Plus there will be a lot more indications besides CNS, such as todays patent for pain, cancer, and all other organs which will benefit from homeostasis of the mitochondria etc, located throughout the body.

It would be great if we all could collect future dividends for income and still retain all the stock, and also avoid the steep tax gains on a buy out.
