Yeah, a beta amyloid summit makes as much sense as GM, Chrysler, & Ford getting together to present a summit on the gasoline engine.

THERE'S AN INFLUENCE SYSTEM IN HERE SOMEWHERE.

Imagine for a min that you owned a string of gas stations, parts stores for automotive needs, muffler shops, ...well you get the idea. Imagine that your empire was built around GAS engines and that you are a very wealthy successful-influential entity b/c of the nasty gas engines made over the past 50+ years.

So, the in-place gas engine infrastructure is massive....and we are supposed to just close it down over the next (n years b/c EV is cooler and will help the planet cool off, starting ???20-30 years from now).

The comparison-analogy presents itself to PET scans, Clinics, dementia homes, warehouses, whole housing-system/care systems financial developments next to clinics. All built around the the process of ageing population. People get older and then they get sick before (for 10+ years)they die. That's that current process (+/-).

In my part of the country we do not build home young family development (massive) projects any more (as we did 20+ years ago). Now we build clusters of smaller but very nice homes for the ageing population. Includes golf access, exercise, lots of walking, etc...NICE. And it is all about people w /money getting older who want/need to simplify their lives.

The biggest growth areas are in healthcare clinics, nursing-care schools, etc. And, they are not cheap. Everything is top shelf.

The people, interests, banks, conglomerates who own the land and approve the plans to spend zillions are not about to welcome solutions such as AVXL brings to the table, by preventing old age illnesses. The financial system is built around the ageing process and consequential needs.

IMO, most of us here get enthused when we see the science/technology work . We see little girls getting well, and all the positive stuff. BUT, there are many who see AVXL as a massive threat to their portfolio.

We need to get a pulse on how the dynamics are wired here b/c we may be missing something. The big money guys are not stupid and they could not care less about a little girl being able to walk and live a normal life.(WHO ME????) We are talking about massive systemic changes which many will read as a threat. They will respond accordingly, as Bisotockclub has suggested. He's right.

IMO, there are systemic issues at work to MANAGE the financial environment around WS and to influence actions which they read as a possible financial threat. IMO the BRAKES ARE BEING (at least) PUMPED. That is the best explanation for sp change slowness, IMO.
