Visible associations create name recognition. Name recognition creates new associations with companies that otherwise may not have known about the products save for the willingness of known companies to partner with them. I have no idea what ego has to do with anything in this instance. Why does it have to be ego because you want some name recognition? Maybe it’s just pride in bringing a product from infancy to market. Sometimes things are just that simple.
