In his interview with Yahoo Finance Live, PPG Industries Chairman and CEO, Michael H. McGarry, stated: “PPG recently closed on a $1.15 billion deal for Ennis-Flint, which is a major player in paint used for highway markings. I reviewed Ennis-Flint web site and found no intelligent road markings within their product portfolio (https://www.ennisflintamericas.com/by-use/roads-streets-highways). The closest thing to it are the raised pavement markers that we see in roads today (old technology) https://www.ennisflintamericas.com/catalog/product/view/id/1038/category/90


The path to intelligent roads goes through PMPG/SRT’s patents now available to E-F “PMPG has completed the due diligence process of our SmartRoad Turtle, LLC (SRT) joint venture project. SmartRoad Turtle, LLC, expects to have a Letter of Intent for manufacturing and distribution to be signed with Ennis-Flint in a few weeks. Ennis-Flint, a global manufacturer of coatings with a broad portfolio of road pavement marking products, thermoplastics, advanced traffic technologies, and intelligent transportation systems. So, why is PMPG management staying silent about this deal w/Ennis-Flint since December 29, 2020? I say to all my impatient friends, the answer is simple; a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prevents PMPG from speaking about it. Tony Hicks, PMPG CEO, stated in his Message from the Chairman: “Currently in discussion with companies to broaden our business models. Non disclosure agreements do not allow PMPG to mention company names.” He also stated that execution of the synergistic business relationships that PMPG/SRT are currently in discussions is planned for Q2. In conclusion, Something of magnitude is cooking between PPG/E-F and PMPG/SRT.
