tocopherol is there to supposedly protect from oxidation

can confirm it works great on

oxidation

...but, why put it in a pharmaceutical? I have it on HIGH authority that our not so great authorities requires the the proviest of proofs the oxidation matters. even though tocopherol is required and same not-so-great-authority approves medication specifically to address fatty acid oxidation.
