“wait for the official patent”.

Actually no work goes into a provisional patent (which is what OPTI has right now). It’s basically a quick description and maybe a drawing. It’s $150 or so and anyone can file one. The real work is going for a non provisional patent.

I believe they have til June for this to be a non provisional application. Otherwise it’s open season and anyone else can apply for it.

So it’s not just ‘ wait till he comes official’. The brunt of the work and costs are in the non provisional application process.

I have several patents and have been through this. So even though it says patent pending, It doesn’t just become patent until the non provisional goes through.
