Apparently there are no local codes, seriously, in LaCoste, Texas. I do not take your comment as a personal attack and hope no one removes your post. It seriously attacks my conscience that folks like SHMP are allowed to even exist, in the face of zero life safety code requirements, and obviously electro mechanical code compliance as evidenced by their plastic wrapped cinderblocks installations. I painfully and accurately predicted the fire, accurately pointing out that it appeared, in my opinion they were not building a facility, they were building the mother of all fires, with enough fuel materials and shoddy incompetent installation practices to make certain it would burn, and burn it did...
Whatever their documented construction/build out costs are/were in LaCoste, will have zero correlation in the real world in any other jurisdiction where codes and NFPA 101 must be complied with. I would double whatever they spent in LaCoste, to duplicate in the real world. There is a reason SHMP selected LaShithole, Texas as their facility. No one watches, no one is near (including nosy shareholders), and no one cares to know. A Perfect location for a share selling promotion. SHMP even flaunts their raised catwalks without any regard for compliance/safety.
VeroBlue facility is built to what appears to be all applicable codes at the time the construction plans were approved. If one compares the 2 facilities...well. Just look on the floor. Tanks create condensation. VeroBlue has floor drains. LaCoste...? The use of wood instead of aluminum or stainless deckings. Wood rots and grows mold.
