Very much enjoy this board...a few disjointed points:
1. Getting Rett patient advocacy groups involved in demanding fast approval
is what could be the most important piece of this puzzle. A fast
approval for Rett's should open up the door for many more indications
ranging from Fragile X, to PDD, AD, Seizures, etc.
2. Do not discount the issue of patent protection. As any AMRN investor
what one "social justice warrior" Judge can DU to a stocks market value.
(Especially a Judge that has no scientific background and zero
comprehension of P-values.)
3. Moral reason for a BP BO. Places the drug into more patients hands
much quicker and can optimize sales much quicker. BP can conduct
clinical trials faster and keep them larger for quicker results.
4. Technology changes...what is yesterday's wonderdrug may be made
obsolete or (even worse) totally ignored by the medical establishment.
One example, Vitamin D-3 which should be given to everyone at risk
for COVID-19. Study after study shows its effectiveness, and yet,
the medical health authorities do nothing...say nothing.
5. Many on this board have posted that Dr. M has stated he will not
sell the company. At this point in time that may be the right action.
Someday in the future a BO may be the best way to optimize value
for shareholders, management, the acquirer, and most importantly
patients. (AMRN is an example of a company that should have been
sold to BP long ago...someone warned them they were playing on
BP cardiovascular turf and should sell to BP. The advise was
ignored. Who gave that advice to the CEO of AMRN? Adam Feuerstein.)
No need to comment on AF we all now how beloved he is here...I
consider him to be a "mouthpiece" for BP.
6. Least importantly, anyone else think Dr. M sounds like Dr.Strangelove?
