Chapter 41. Two Dimes (Somewhere around 2001)

It was late fall and the coolness of the air was settling in slowly. Before work, I was sitting in front of the woodstove meditating. The room was cold, but the open wood burner was warm so with the meditation, I became real comfortable in the middle. (Wink, wink) (Study deeply, reflective reader!)
So, after giving thanks and asking for more, I desired to have confirmation of my manifestational abilities, and for some reason, I don’t know why, I picked two dimes. I just wanted to see two dimes. A few days later, on a whim, I pulled into the Ligonier NAPA Auto Parts store to get something. I hadn’t been in there for years. So I came out of the store, looking down to make sure I didn’t step in the slush on the road and fill my shiny shoes and right there was one of the dimes. Perfectly flat and even with the ice on the top, while the edge was surrounded by ice. As I bent down to get my dime. I immediately gave thanks, and wondered inwardly, where’s the other one? It was just then, as I was digging the dime out, that I saw the other one buried deeper under the ice. Bingo! Much thanks was given to the Source of Sources. Appreciation is a wonderfully fulfilling practice – (study this deeply in expression)

Fast forward a few years. Later, I was telling a friend of the above story, and they thought it was pretty amazing. Because it was/is. After parting, I was sitting in my car on Route 30, at the Latrobe airport red light. It was early afternoon, and not a cloud in the sky. A beautiful day, indeed. As I waited for the light to change, I looked up into the sky and gave thanks again to the Power of Powers for the confirmation, and added: 'But this time I want them shiny!' But for a few moments.
A few days later, Mrs. Eliot and I were in the K-Mart parking lot and I had to park way up the lot. Must’ve been a blue light special, because the lot was full. So we were walking down to enter the store and for some reason, on a whim, I turned left to walk between a row of cars and Bam! There they were two dimes shining in the sun. They were so bright, I almost got retina damage.
