Ehhh, but that is my point, the premise of borrowing something that was already borrowed doesnt equal more shares borrowed. You cant borrow something that has already been borrowed. I was specifically discussing Short Interest and not Naked Shorting, however guaranteed some brokers were Naked Short and had to buy in as well compounding the problem even more.
