The football players got all the perks of being a jock, but none of them wanted to step on the mat with the wrestlers... we would eat our own guts and ask for seconds...!!!

I once lost 8 pounds in one practice... my buddy lost 11 pounds in the same practice... the only time I have been knocked out by a punch was in a wrestling match... the guy didn't even get disqualified or anything... I ended up pinning him... did a hip throw on him late in the match and made him eat his own elbow...(-:

Edit: no, punching isn't legal in (real) high school/college wrestling... he hit me on the jaw from behind after I stood up on him and threw off his arm, attempting to spin around and face him (for an escape point)...
