As rumoured ( leaked ) this morning 3rd March the chancellor will def raise CGT, it will be to 40% and from midnight 3rd March ..


Across the board and immediate? That is a tough one.

Here in the US, the talk is raising it to 39.6% (the top ordinary income bracket), but only for those making over $1M annually.

It would remain 20% for those in the $425K - $1M income bracket and 15% for the rest (other than the poor at 0%).

There is some talk about it applying this year, but I think that is highly unlikely.
