having thought about it, its typically goldbugian to take a series of events (like a movie with a series of gags but little plot) and string it into a theory. But I still there is some merit there, as you say both streams (military and economic) are running in parallel.

OPEC could handle this imo they do now will all the cheaters. But that in its self would not bring down iran, just soften it up.

Israel: don’t know enough about their energy trading partners etc to comment. I would be interested to read up on it – if you got the stuff.

I think the military option is on the back burner for moment and probably that is all the article is saying.
