Your friend that previously did consulting work for GulfSlope probably isn't the best place for first hand knowledge for inter-company workings. If something is meant to stay confidential, then your contractor friend probably wouldn't be priveleged to whatever information there is, if any.

Also, I think this Board needs a link to show where the small investors are manipulating the shorted stock. That wouldn't be a secret, many different investors need to coordinate to buy shares in GSPE over a course of a week. Someone posted a few twitter messages, but it didn't seem like too much, but maybe.
