Lost my grandma to AD. I watched her fade away till she remembered nothing. Heartbreaking. Having gone through this, I don’t feel a need to push for an approval for a drug like adu, just because AD is a terrible disease, which effected me on a personal level, and where the field hasn’t seen anything approved to help modify the course of the disease, ever. I, like most everyone (I think?) have the ability to look at drug efficacy/safety independently of my personal story. Approving a drug just to approve a drug makes absolutely no sense. You’d think a powerful organization like the Alzheimer’s Association could also make this fairly simple determination.

Imo they have lost all credibility. It just shows you that science has taken a backseat to emotion. Huge huge problem. Why should anyone donate when it’s now known that emotion makes the decisions in front of and behind their closed doors? They have seen my last donation.
