That strategy only works if/when one puts their shares for sale at reasonable potential share price exit levels that market makers are too fearful may arrive, hence they won't lend out ones shares to short k maddog.

For example, putting shares for sale here at .18 cents and being ready to move that exit price up will definitely stop any b/d from lending out your shares to shorts...whereas putting them for sale at $1 won't, because the mm's will feel that that's too high of a short term target so they'll still lend shares to shorts who want to play with them k cheers!
