Somebody posted that study here a couple days ago - I read the article they referred to, and I thought there were some serious statistical problems with the data - they claimed that 29% (or 23%?) were new infections, not just re-admissions - that's impossible, only a couple dozen people in the world have officially been infected with two different strains of COVID - if reinfection was so prevalent there would be a boatload of more deaths by now. IMO those people never fully recovered from the initial infection, and the stress of taking care of COVID patients caused their infection to flare up again - I unfortunately have experience with that occurring.
