I just called and talked to a Lucid Motors Sales Rep for 20 mins

He couldn't comment on the merger... obviously.

He explained Lucid has studios (show rooms) being set up all over the US right now. He said they will own the whole supply chain factory to retail store. Even said they will have one up in Toronto soon.

They have their main headquarters with a manufacturing facility in it for the prototypes and testing etc, and that their Arizona facility is ready to go. They will be shipping cars in Q2 2021.

He couldn't comment on the demand for vehicles and amount of reservations because they are still private and it is not publicly disclosed, he said it "looks really good" so sounds like the demand for the cars is healthy.

They are going to be shipping to 30 different countries.

He said he could confirm that there was some chatter and discussion going on.

I built some rapport with him because he was quite a nice guy and then I tried to force him to tell me the merger was NOT happening.
"You could legally tell me that you are NOT going to merge with Churchill Capital Corp right?"

"yeaaahh I guess I could" he explained that he wasn't able to talk about it and that he wasn't going to tell me they weren't merging... or that they are :)

I said I was pretty confident in my position already but that I wanted to talk to somebody from Lucid to affirm my thesis.

"Well do you feel better now?" he said... I could hear his smile on the phone lol. It was a good conversation. He didn't give me bad vibes that's for sure.

"If you want I can add you to the mailing list so that we will notify you directly when we do go public"

Sounds good to me!
