Obviously somebody wants to be supplied with an oral test (and not a blood test) which was ruled out to happen by reads at least a thousand times here on this board and the one of Yahoo.
And "cheap test" is a relative term. Who has the cheapest test (rhetorical) at the moment?
The request seems to not concern about the fact if some blood tests might be cheaper than an oral test. If it didn't matter blood or saliva why not asking for a cheap test only instead of an oral test ? These people are clearly interested to get an oral test or at least to get an offer. Possibly they buy then, possibly they don't, depending on if a price can be negotiated working for both sides. Reads always knew that no price can be found, we will see, also mineseeker agreed to a price acceptable for everybody involved.
Obviously no certified oral HIV test can be delivered for China as to today (my knowledge, if it is China) but the request is put for the first half of 2007 so Calypte might have clearance until then.
Conclusion: This is evidence that people care if it is blood or saliva, reads is wrong, he always was here.
Does "certified" mean "approved" ? Don't know, but the interest for oral testing is there for sure.
