Tampa 123, Yesterday in the new york times business section there was a cover story featuring George Gilder. Evidently , the last few years have been at least very difficult. Subscribers to his newsletter have fled in droves, and former business partners have a lien on his rambling berkshire home and farm(located very near Lee, Mass). George came across not exactly upbeat, but optimistic that his fortunes will recover, but seemed reconciled that the phenomenal appreciation in telescom (his term) will probably not come again. He is also waiting for a ruling from the IRS relative to his newsletter company that he suggested will be critical to his financial future. I found it ironic that someone like George such a high profile personality in the modern economic culture(he wrote the bestseller "Wealth and Poverty") several years ago, would not protect his most valuable asset, his home by putting the title in his wife or kids name, a practice most private citizens do all the time,
