Thank you Learning. I'm hesitant to get too cocky about my wife's apparent recovery because she is far from out of the woods at this point. But she has made great strides towards getting weaned off the vent in the last two days, 2 hrs on Wed and 4 hours yesterday breathing with minimal assistance. Those were days 6 and 7 since first LL dose. A doctor I spoke with that used Leronlimab early in the pandemic mentioned day 7 is when they were seeing improvements in the patients. So yes, it is true that my wife's lungs were improving before the Leronlimab even arrived, based on her vent settings. But now she is making improvements that many people are not. The respiratory therapist told me yesterday, flat out, that they are not having much luck getting many covid patients weaned off the vents. Secondly, I'm seeing how happy the wonderful nurses and staff are when they see how well my wife is doing. The sad truth is they've lost a lot of patients, and they appear to be quite thrilled that they are able to care for someone who may actually make it home. Again, she is not in the clear and this could still blow up in our faces and devastate me. But she is headed in the right direction. Prayers for her are still much appreciated.
