I'm still waiting for the company to explain their chemistry to the USDA so they can get all that money. And to be fair, if you'll check, I never claimed that their process violated the principle of conservation of mass--only that they implied it by saying that several barrels of product could be derived from a single barrel of feedstock. A "barrel" is usually considered to be a volume of liquid; otherwise, you can use a "boe" which is a barrel of oil equivalent in terms of energy.

I still don't believe that they can get five gallons of liquid hydrocarbons out of a bushel of soybeans. But given the chance, I will go down there and see it for myself. It's not all that far from here.

I'll believe it when they get all cranked up, producing product and selling it, burning gas and busting bugs. It would be a great boon to mankind--if it were only true.

A good bottom's hard to beat.
